Cleaning the Right Way

Wearing gloves can be a great way to avoid spreading germs provided they are used correctly. After cleaning bathrooms for example, gloves should be removed before answering a cell phone. In an age where virtually everyone is connected, this is not always so easy but being careless defeats the purpose of cleaning and may even spread more germs. Likewise, neglecting to clean common surfaces like faucets and doorknobs may not seem like such a big deal but it only takes one person that is sick or has bad hygiene to make you ill. While obsessing on these issues is not particularly healthy either, the best compromise is probably to make sure that when you do clean you use common sense. Just because a toilet looks "clean enough" does not mean that it is clean. All dry surfaces should be cleaned with wipes and remember cleaning only works when you have the right tools. If the toilet brush looks disgusting, it probably should be replaced.
