How to Create an Ergonomic Work Environment
The way you setup your office space can make a tremendous difference in its productivity. Workers must feel comfortable to avoid counter-productive forces that inhibit creativity and a positive attitude about the work they are doing. Separating workers into cubicles may seem like a good way to avoid gabbing but if the work area is too small, employees may become depressed and lose enthusiasm for the job.
Other factors such as lighting and how comfortable the environment is can make or break a work space. The lighting source should not induce fatigue and understanding different lighting options is key to maximum productivity. Likewise, no one likes to work in an uncomfortable chair particularly if it cuts off leg circulation or loses cushioning on the seat.
